The (144,000) 288,000 From Revelation 7 and 14 144 is the numerical value for the word "Light" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/144_(number)    I just wanted to clear up some misconceptions concerning the 144,000 redeemed from the earth. In Revelation 7 there are 144,000 Jews* sealed before the opening of the seventh seal to protect them during the last 14 judgments. They will go through the tribulation with God's supernatural protection. The 144,000 that are mentioned in Rev. 14 were redeemed bodily from the earth. Joseph Smith's Inspired Version of the Bible vs. The Book of Mormon Plus Commentary on Book of Mormon Alterations   The inspired version of the Bible was in some parts words that were lost but in other parts was more revelation that should be revealed that was not ready to come forth at the time the original prophet received it.  Just like the additions and more revelations to older revelations in the Book of  Commandments (Doctrine and Covenants).
